Our customers often ask us...
"Why do transmissions fail?"

Of the transmissions that enter our shop, over 80% failed due to design flaws. These are failures that were not caused by abuse, misuse, lack of maintenance, or excessive mileage.

Automatic transmission associations have spent years researching the causes of failure in transmissions. From their findings, they have produced redesigned components and upgraded technologies to alleviate these problems.

Using advanced transmission repair procedures allows Woodco to produce the finest products and an outstanding warranty. For warranty information, click here.

The most common cars we service are the Ford Taurus and Windstar, Honda, Mitsubishi, and the overdrive Chrysler transmissions in the Dodge Caravan and Plymouth Voyager.

The most common SUV is the Ford Explorer. Chevrolet, Dodge, and Ford trucks are also prone to transmission failure.

Our Hapeville service facility near Atlanta installs the most reliable automatic transmissions. By using NEW original equipment parts, we provide a more durable product than remanufactured transmissions that use rebuilt and re-machined parts.

My wife and I brought her car in a year ago [to a dealership] because the transmission was shifting funny and getting worse. A man called from the service department and said that the car had a bad transmission and it would cost $4,995.00 to get it fixed.

I called a mechanic friend and asked him for advice. He referred me to a transmission shop called Woodco Transmission Services in Hapeville and said that the guy was completely honest.

Woodco checked everything out and ended up replacing the transmission position sensor for $245.17 total and the car has been running great ever since.”

I have met very few people that out of the blue will help someone on the spur of the moment.

Wayne, thanks again for all your help. The transmission worked out great in the truck.  Will send some pictures later.
